A retired member of the Philippine Navy, Armed Forces of the Philippines. She enlisted in the navy in 1978, at the age of nineteen right after taking the board examinations in Midwifery. After graduating in Basic Training Course in Cavite, she was assigned with the Chief Surgeon of the Philippine Navy. A year after, she was assigned with ROTC , La Salle, Bacolod City. After
six months , she's back again in Manila , this time she was assigned with the Department of National Defense , Protocol Office, where they were in charged of the Secretary's appointment .While in DND, she enrolled at PWU in Taft Avenue, taking up BSCA, she was not able to graduate, she lacked 3 units in Spanish and 3 units in Theology. She's been in the Protocol Office for 5 years, after which she joined the Security Group of the National Defense, this time she was trained as a close - in security to VIP's. A year after , Edsa Revolution happened, and their group lead the revolt , Cory Aquino was installed as the new President of the Republic. A year later , again their group staged another coup , this time , it failed, Enrile, was kicked out of office.Still , he was allowed to brought some bodyguards with him, and one of them was her. She stayed with Sen. Juan Ponce Enrile for over a year, then she was transferred to then , Commisioner Mirriam Defensor Santiago, who was the Commisioner of the Bureau of Immigration at that time. PO2 Hojilla was with her for over a year until the coup d e'tat in 1989.
